I find the application of proper and consistent discipline by far the hardest aspect of parenting. It takes a lot of time (to do it properly) and it takes a lot of effort. However, I agree with you. The lines are stark. Lack of discipline will cause so many more problems in the future. Discipline in and of itself will not save my kids. But, a loving, thoughtful, and consistent application, followed up with much love and encouragement of the child will reap, and even in my young kids, does reap much. Always love what you right.
